James Mitchell is a British writer and advertising strategist living in Queens, New York City, with his cat Ged. His fiction work has appeared in the Bridport, Brick Lane, and Bath short story prizes, in Vice and GQ, the Apple Arcade game Hitchhiker, and others. He writes to try and understand what’s being done to us, and what can do for each other.

By daylight hours, he puts the same skills to work for brands that deserve to be heard, as an advertising strategy directior.

He tries to make sense of New York at his newsletter, If You Can Make It Here.

Ask him (who are we kidding? It’s me) how everything’s coming along: @jamescmitchell
